Boys and girls often don't have school toilets, so a loo break means a lengthy break from lessons. What's worse, children are frequently too sick to attend school. A block of toilets and washing facilities means they can stay healthy and stay in school.
"Before we had the toilets we had to use the thorny bushes on the outskirts of the village. Sometimes snakes would come and disturb us. I would run away as quickly as possible. This wasn’t much fun."
