Jerome, 41 from Madagascar, received training from WaterAid back in 2006 and he's been maintaining his village's water points ever since.

Before tap stands were installed everyone in the area collected water from a nearby spring or river, which was tainted with sulphur causing sickness.

Jerome's training in maintaining the water points means that his village will have sustainable access to clean water for many years to come. Plus he has a new source of income for his family and a new skill. Win win!
